Violence Policy:

Due to the full-contact combat nature of the Western Circle of Swordfighters (WCoS), those whose actions demonstrate a danger to others through unwarranted violence, shall be reviewed for action by their Kaiden and/or the WCoS council This extends beyond the walls of the Dojo and into each member’s everyday actions.

If a student demonstrates a severe lack of control in class, during a training scenario, or within their everyday life, they may be reprimanded by their Kaiden. This includes potential expulsion from class for a period determined by their Kaiden or the Head Kaiden.

If deemed necessary by the Kaiden and escalated to the WCoS Council, this may also result in a temporary suspension from WCoS membership, classes, and events for up to 90 days. Prior to which, all involved parties will be interviewed by a council member not directly related to the student or Kaiden.

During the duration of suspension, the student may need to demonstrate that they have taken corrective actions as prescribed by their Kaiden and the Council of the Western Circle, in order to petition for reinstatement.

At the terminus of the 90 day period, the student may petition for reinstatement. They will either, at the discretion of their Kaiden and the Council, be reinstated, have further required action(s), or be permanently suspended from the WCoS.
